One of the widely popular things to do in the Peak District is walk trips to Mam Tor’s impressive summit, and Great Ridge traverses that separate Edale from the Hope Valley. Mam tor to Lose Hill walk route can be divided into different stages to make it easier for you to understand. It part begins from Castleton village to lose hill with a distance of 2.2 miles/3.5 km. Moving further from Lose Hill to Hollins cross, the journey is of about 1.2 mile/2 km. There is a distance of 0.9 mile/1.4 km from Hollins cross to mam tor. The way back to Charleston form mam tor covers about 2.5 miles/4 km of distance.

Activities around the area

The slightly longer route brings you back along the riverside to Castleton, through Hope. Both Castleton and Hope are charming Peak District villages, great for enjoying tea and cake, or even some typical pub grub, providing you with different activities and things to do in the peak district.
